Note: Cannabis tincture is a form of a cannabis extract, high in potency, that you can use to infuse candies and other fun edibles. Glycerin blended tinctures are more pleasant than the alternative alcohol tinctures. These are easily flavored and soft to swallow, while alcohol tinctures can burn the mouth.
In case you don’t use a cannabis tincture and prefer doing your cannabutter, follow the following steps. Although it takes time, it will definitely pay off, as you will use your favorite cannabis strains for this purpose. Moreover, you can control how much THC or CBD you want your cannabutter to have.
Now that you have decarboxylated your flower, you can infuse it into butter. For this purpose, heat both the decarbed flower and your oil or butter for about 30-60 minutes. We suggest using coconut oil for this particular recipe.
CAUTION: If you use a tincture and it is alcohol-based, ensure that you don’t expose this to any open flames or fire sources.
Sometimes it’s difficult to calculate the potency of any homemade weed edibles. But in this guide, we have brought you an easy and quick way to know how potent your lollipop edibles are.
Each tablespoon is equal to 15 ml of cannabis tincture. Check the potency of your tincture or cannabis concentrate per milliliter. For example, if every milliliter contains 10 mg of THC, one tablespoon has 150 mg of THC. Now, all you have to do is divide the total THC amount by the number of lollipops you made.
Following this example, for each tablespoon you pour into the mixture, you’ll be adding 150 mg of THC. That said, as we used two tablespoons of tincture for this recipe, we’ll obtain 20 lollipops with 15 mg of THC each.
